Okay so the other day I was at the table with my mother and we were eating diner. The news was on and I made a comment how I think that it is disrespectful to use religion as a way to win a campaign as president, especially with the whole separation of church and state. My mom kinda looked at me funny and so I began to explain to her that I didn't think it mattered what religion someone had going into the White House, as long as they got the job done right. Still she didn't understand how I was feeling about this topic. I continued saying that it is disrespectful to God that you would use him in your campaign when in that same campaign you are ready to dehumanize another person in order to insure your own victory and that by focusing on things such as gay marriage rights you are only ignoring the real problem about the Nations economic crisis and school problems.

She came at me with "You wouldn't want some one who was an atheist or some other religion." And i said it didn't matter what religion or God they worshipped to me as long as they did what was right. And she had the nerve to say that "Well then maybe you should be getting back to Church again regularly."

My opinions are not problems that can be fixed or changed. They are things that I have chosen to believe in. No amount of worship or religion or church or any God or belief will change how I feel about anything. I don't need to be corrected or fixed because I'm not broken - simply different.

If you believe that God can only love a certain type of person then maybe you need to be fixed because I refuse to believe that any God, who is willing to give me life and a chance to prosper and live with happiness and joy in my heart, can only love a certain type of person. My God loves every child on this planets; good or bad, gay or not, ugly or pretty, fat or skinny, different to every aspect or normality. He loves us all, and no amount of you unwillingness to understand will ever change my mind.
